via e-mail July 2008: [ richard201@verizon.net ] ".. I stumbled on your website while researching one the ancestors of Daniel Straw born 13 July 1810 in Vermont. He and his wife Flavia Neil (spelled Flavie Neil in Canadian records I believe) had a son named John Straw born 29 December 1836 in Wyandot County Ohio. John married Melinda Wallace and they had a daughter named Acenith Flavia Straw, also born in Wyandot County, Ohio. Some time after Acenith's birth the family moved to Edgar County Illinois where John and Flavia [sic] died. Acenith Flavia Straw married Jacob McBride on 1 Aug 1876 and they moved to St. Bernice, Indiana where they had a son John William McBride on 7 November 1880. John William McBride is my maternal grandfather.

John married Malinda Wallace, daughter of John Wallace and Elizabeth, on 19 Mar 1859 in Hardin County, Ohio. (Malinda Wallace was born on 11 May 1839 in Ohio and died on 4 Jan 1898 in Edgar, Edgar county, Illinois.)
