WINAMAC '97 Services for Mary I. Combs, 84, of 702 S. Franklin St., will be held at 11
a.m. Friday in Frain Mortuary. Mrs. Combs died at 2:19 p.m. Monday,. September 28,1998, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Fulton County Road and U.S. 31 South, Rochester.
Bom July 24,1914, in Winamac, she was the daughter of Harry and Pearl Markley Straw.
On Nov. 9,1936, in Winamac, she was married Cliffor G. "Tip"Baker who died
Nov 21,1945. On Aug. 12,1949, in Winamac, she was married to Dale E. Combs, who died Sept 28,1998.
A lifelong resident of Winamac, Mrs. Combs was retired from the United Telephone office in
Winamac, where she was office manager. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Surviving is one sister, Marjorie I. Bair, Winamac. One sister, Maxine Seldel, and two infant
brothers preceded in death.
Burial will be In McKinley Memorial Gardens.
