General Notes: Research of Jane O'Connor Foster - Thomas was a Pinkerton Man when horse racing first started. He worked at Belmont in NYC and also at one other track now closed. After this he worked as a policeman at the New York City subway system. He was killed when he either fell or was pushed in front of a train. Thomas married Catherine Anna Foster, daughter of William Foster and Winifred Agnes Mullen, after 1880. (Catherine Anna Foster was born on 20 Mar 1859 in Albany, Albany County, New York, christened on 27 Mar 1859 in St. Joseph's Church in Albany, NY, died in 1892 in Albany, Albany County, New York and was buried in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands, NY.) |
