" STOWE Jan 23 - Mrs Carrie B. Morrill, 81, died this afternoon in Copley Hospital, Morrisville. born in Stowe Oct 12, 1874, she was the daughter of Emma Straw and S. Mortimer Brush. She spent all of her life in Stowe. She was a member of the Community Church and was a chater member of the Women's Relief corps. she was the widow of Arthur Morrill who died in 1940.
she is survived by two sons, Paul of Stowe and Maurice of Cullowhee, NC, a brother Harold of Parkville, MO; two sisters, Mrs Nettie Willey of Cheshire, CT and Mrs Ethel Smith of Pottsdam, NY and five grandchildren.....burial Riverbank Cemetery......"

Carrie married Arthur C. Morrill, son of Chester Allison Morrill and Thelma E., on 25 Jan 1905 in Stowe, Lamoille County, Vermont. (Arthur C. Morrill was born in 1879 in Walden, Caledonia County, VT, died in 1940 and was buried in Riverbank Cemetery in Stowe, Lamoille County, Vermont.)
