They were boarding with Lucy Ely in Erie, Erie County, Pa on the 1940 Census. It is not known if Lucy died or they divorced. Henry was next married to Wilma Ruth Gilmore on January 14, 1945 in Washington, D.C. They had a daughter, Sara. Henry, who went by his middle name, Kirtland, graduated from Williams College and was a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve and Vice-President of Sales at Roberts-Gordon Appliance Corp. His parents were Laurence Edmundo Straw and Edith Laura Van Fleet.
