Hill, Wayne Linwood 81 Feb. 16, 1930 Dec. 11, 2011 Rev. Wayne Hill is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; five children; and many grandchildren. He served United Methodist Churches in Oregon/Idaho. His passions include family, ministry, music, social and environmental activism. He was a wonderful pastor and a great preacher. Wayne Hill, retired pastor, died December 11, 2011. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Betty); his children, Maxine Stone; Sheryl Hill - Tanquist; Gerry Hill; Pam Newman, and Amanda Trent, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Reverend and Mrs. Hill served in the New England conference before coming to Oregon '96 Idaho in 1957. Reverend Hill was appointed to West Salem, Independence, Monmouth, Bend, Corvallis, Fremont, Pocatello and Oregon City churches before retiring in 1994.
A memorial service will be held at Oregon City First United Methodist Church, 18955 S. South End Rd., Oregon City, Oregon, (503-656-3433), at 2:00 p.m. on December 30, 2011.
