IGI files give the DOM POM as 1742 in Haverhill, MA

John m. first Zerviah Dow and then John had six children by his second wife Abigail Sherburn Springer (she was a widow of Jonathan Springer)..(per vital records of Haverhill Vol I pg 290 their names were Dorathy, Mary, Edward, John, Sherburn and John, the first John may have died young)
Per military records: John served in the first company of Haverhill militia in the spring of 1757. later he was a Private in the American Revolution, serving with his son of the same name in the 13th Regiment of MA Vols and marked "dead" on a list prepared pursuant to a resolve passed by the MA General Court on January 26, 1777. (He later died in Service 1778)

John next married Abigail Sherburn, daughter of Unknown and Unknown, on 5 Sep 1748 in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts. (Abigail Sherburn was born on 29 Oct 1727 in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts and died on 1 Nov 1810 in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts.)
