He is probably the s/o Joseph Bennett and Mary Calguhoun and I have assigned their son's birthdate for this Eliphalet; there is also an Eliphalet Wharff Bennett b. 13 June 1805 New Gloucester, ME (died 1824) s/o John Bennett and Sarah Wharff per IGI files who is a probable brother of Joseph, Eliphalet's father; Eliphalet is not noted to be a Jr and thus could be a nephew of the Eliphalet Wharff Bennett b. 13 June 1805
