MRS. CORDELIA TUNIS--Two weeks ago we mentioned the birth of a daughter to Elmus Tunis and wife, out on Mill creek; last week we detailed the mother's serious condition from blood poisoning; this week we chronicle her death which occurred at 11 o'clock Tuesday night. Cordelia Sorell was born near the south edge of this county on Feb. 1, 1866, her hage at death being 46 years, 3 months and 20 days. On Jan 8, 1888 she was married to Elmus Tunis, also born and raised in this county, so both have lived in the county all of their lives. Sixteen children have come to them; six died in childhood, but ten are living to mourn her loss--several of them at an age when her care is needed very badly. She leave also six sisters and one brother--Mesdames James Green, Joseph Antrim, Jasper Tunis, and Austin Parratt, Myrtle of Indianapolis whose present married name was not known to our informant and Nora Sorell who lives with Mrs antrim, and William Sorell somewhere in Wisconsin. The funeral was held this afternoon, from the some, services by Rev. E. Miller and interment on the hill where their six children are sleeping.

Cordelia married Elmus Tunis, son of Joseph J. Tunis and Catherine Straw, on 8 Jan 1887 in Pulaski County, Indiana. (Elmus Tunis was born on 3 Mar 1866 in Winamac, Pulaski County, Indiana, died on 29 Mar 1947 in Hartford, Van Buren, Michigan and was buried in Winamac Cemetery in Pulaski County, Indiana.)
