John R. Straw of Walden, NY, a lease manager for Brewster Honda, Brewster, NY, died Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, Newburgh. He was 52.
John was born August 19, 1956 in Syracuse, NY, he loved to golf and music.
Survivors include his daughter, Christina M. DiNapoli and her husband, John R. of Pickerington, OH; his significant other, Sandra A. Magill of Walden; son, Scott E. Magill and his fiance, Tara Walentin of Walden; two brothers, Gerald Straw of Jacksonville, FL and Kenneth Straw of Syracuse, NY; one sister, Kathleen Laurenzo of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter, Olivia J. DiNapoli; his good friends, David Nelson and Robert Plambeck, both of Poughkeepsie; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.
