WAUPUN - Rolland "R.J." Miller, 77, of Waupun, died Monday, May 22, 2006, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton.
Rolland was born Dec. 11, 1928, in Campbellsport, the son of Valentine and Anna (Ertz) Miller. On Oct. 13, 1949, he married Beverly Straw in Milwaukee. Following their marriage the couple resided in Campbellsport and moved to Waupun in 1960. He was employed by Bird Trucking in Waupun for 30 years and later worked part time for Mickleberry's in Beaver Dam. "R.J." was a veteran of the Army and Air Force having served three years with the Army and three years with the Air Force. He was a member of American Legion Post 210 in Waupun and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6709 in Waupun.
He is survived by three sons, Mark Miller, Beaver Dam, Mike (Cindy) Miller, Hecker, Ill., and Myron (Tracy) Miller, Waupun; three daughters, Mary Miller, Waupun, Ruth Indermuehle, Waupun, and Bonnie Miller and her husband Rusty Frampton, North Jackson, Ohio; nine grandchildren; one step-granddaughter, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, on Oct. 25, 1998, and four brothers.
Funeral services for Rolland Miller will be held Thursday, May 25, at 7 p.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun. The Rev. Peter Bird will officiate. Friends and relatives of Rolland Miller may call at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun on Thursday, from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. time of service.
The Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home and staff, Waupun, is serving the family.

Rolland married Beverly J. Straw, daughter of Kenneth Thurston Straw and Dorothy Jordan, on 13 Oct 1949 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. (Beverly J. Straw was born on 29 Aug 1929 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and died on 25 Oct 1999 in Waupun, Wisconsin.)
