Mary died in Hopkinton and is buried there in the Hopkinton Cemetery. Her head stone is inscribed: "Mary Straw, relict of Capt. Jonathan Straw who died August 24, 1825, aged 95 years 3 days. Her obit is listed in the NEW HAMPSHIRE PATRIOT on 19 Sept 1825; vol 17 issue 859 p. 3 [WEEKLY MESSENGER 27 OCT 1825]
IN Hopkinton 22 August Mrs. Mary Straw age 96; married to Mr Jonathan Straw in Salisbury, MA; removed to Concord, NH in the time of the Indian War and lived one year in Eastman's Garrison; then removed to her farm in Hopkinton, NH where she lived until her death; member of Church of Christ for 76 yrs; decendants: 10 ch; 86 grandchildren ; 210 great grandchilren; 38 great great grandchildren for a total of 324 descendents. Was a widow 35 yrs and almost entirely deaf many years with her hearing restored perfectly just before she died.
