Phebe was the daughter of David Austin and Mary Hamon of Torrington, Connecticut. She was married roughly 1805 to Jason Cady, the son of Jason Cady and Hannah Marsh of Shutesbury and Shelburne, Mass. and Waterbury, Vermont. She likely had several children, one of whom was Enos Wilder Cady, who moved to Iowa. Following her death, her husband married twice more, and continued to live most of his life in Vermont. Shortly before his death, he moved to Iowa to be with his son, Enos, and died there.
Phebe's grave does not have a marker.
