NEW HANMPSHIRE PATRIOT - 8 Nov 1871 Mr. James Straw, a leading businessman of Henniker, died on the 4th of Consumption at the age of 53.
BOSTON JOURNAL 7 Nov 1871 Concord, NH Nov 6 - James Straw Esq, a prominent merchant of Henniker, died at his residence on Saturday, aged 53. He represented that place in the Legislature several years ago and was for a considerable time Postmaster at Warner.
