Per census 1880 in Pulaski, Williams Co OH she was 25 and single and living with her widowed mother. Also in the HH were her brother Charles age 25 and a twin to Mary and her sister Annie Ruth age 32 and another brother James age 20..all single. Also living there was Alva Straw an uncle of her mother's who was age 76 and a widower.

Mary married Abel Frederick Besancon. (Abel Frederick Besancon was born in 1864, died in 1928 and was buried in French Cemetery in Stryker, Williams County, Ohio.)
