To be a nephew of Simon he would have to be a s/o a brother of Simon.
I have ruled him out as a s/o Ezra and Mercy (Glidden) Straw as he does not appear with them in the 1860 census. It is doubtful he is a s/o Chase and Betsey (Drew) Straw for there is no record of a birth in that research for 1853. The only other possibility is Col Jacob Straw [whom I feel is a brother of Simon] and Lucy Leymond Straw..their son George E. Straw born 1853 never married and was mentally unstable.
