Per Rootsweb research of William D. Collins: Lee is the s/o Josiah Paddock and Catherine Lake (born 7 July 1850) with 2 other brothers: Ethelbert Paddock (could Ethelbert be the Rev E. S. Paddock who married Lee and Mary Madge Straw?) and Clarence Paddock
e-mail of 12/ 26/ 2004 "Here is my information, all of which came from cousin Russ Davisson's book The Davissons..Twelve Generations..1630-1992.: " Mary Davisson (Daughter of Captain Josiah Davisson and granddaughter of Daniel (4), Josiah (3) Daniel (2 &1) was born 2 June 1811 in Virginia and died 16 March,1878 in Kansas; she married Elijah Paddock of Preble County, Ohio and settled about ten miles south of Indianapolis, Indiana. The children of Mary and Elijah Paddock were: 1. Henry (7) Unmarried 2. A son,(7) Married but no Issue 3. Josiah (7) d. at Topeka KS; married Catherine, daughter of Phenis Lake (b. 7 July 1850); children: 1. Ethelbert (8) 2. Lee O. (8) 3. Clarence (8) 4. Levi D.; married Laura Duncan, div,; Laura's children: 1. W.E. (8) 2. Mary E. (8) 3. Burt (8) I can't decipher from Russ's notation whether Levi divorced Laura Duncan, or whether the children came with a divorced Laura Duncan. In any case it does appear that your Lee Paddock (1873-1940) and married c. 1906 to Mary Madge Straw could be the same Lee O. son of Josiah and Catherine Paddock. Your additional information that Lee had a brother known as "E.S." would fit with the sibling "Ethelbert" above. Have you tracked or have any interest in additional information about the Davison/Davisson ancestors of Josiah and sons? Russ still has a few copies of his book available if you are interested. Let me know if this information dovetails with yours," Bill Collins San Diego
