Find A Grave Memorial 108403292 Leroy Mack Denny Born in Washington in 1877 Leroy was the son of John W Denny and Mary Rumsey McCorkle Denny. He was a cousin to Arthur Denny one of Seattle's founders. He operated the first logging company in what now is Lake City on land homesteaded by his father. He was a member of the Washington State Pioneers Association, the Beekeepers Association of Washington, Olympic View Community Church and Local 131 Carpenters Union. He married Sallie Coleman on February 18 1907 at the home of her parents Madison and Elizabeth Coleman. He is pre-deceased by his wife of 57 years Sallie, survived by four daughters, Mrs. (Mary) Joseph E Flynn, Mrs. (Ruth) Marion C. Boswell, Mrs. (Edythe) Emil W. Eriksson and Mrs. (Carol)Joseph B. Wicklund, all of Seattle. Three sisters, Mrs. Ada Fletcher, Harper, Kitsap County; Mrs. Martha E. Lafferty, Spokane, and Mrs. Lora Jennings, Seattle. 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral Services held June 30, 1964 at Green Lake Chapel, burial at Evergreen (Seattle Times June 29 1964)
