STRAW, LEONARD WILLIAM
A loving husband and father, he died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales. He was 59, a native of Nebraska City, Neb., and a resident of Conyers, Ga. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from AT&T with more than 20 years of service and owned Grassmasters Lawn Management in Conyers. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home chapel, Gonzales, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Thursday, conducted by Deacon Thomas Labat. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. Survived by his wife, Guitree Durgapersad Straw; two daughters, Kimberly and Kelly Straw; and a son, Leonard William Straw Jr. Preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ruth Glover Straw; and a brother, Butch Straw. Pallbearers will be Leonard Straw Jr., Matthew Sinanan, Mahase Sinanan, King Sinanan, Sham Durgapersad and Lou Durgapesad.
