Logansport Pharos-Tribune and Press | Logansport, Indiana | Wednesday, October 20, 1971 Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Kistler, of Winamac, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. Sunday, Oct. 24, followed by an open house from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at their home. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the open house. The couple requests that gifts be omitted. Mr. and Mrs. Kistler were married Oct. 23, 1911, in Missouri and moved to Pulaski county in 1914. They lived on a farm in Harrison township until 1955 when they moved to Winamac. Mr. Kistler retired earlier this year. All of their nine living children with their husbands and wives are expected to attend the dinner to be served at the Herman Seidel home near Star City. The children are: Lee, Hebron; Mrs. Esther Hayes, West' Terre Haute; Mrs. Grace Straw and Mrs. Lura Feltis, Culver; Mrs. Helen Brown, Lacrosse; Mrs. Doris Baggerly, Loyal, Wis.; Kenneth, West Terre Haute; Mrs. Jane Grice, Marion; and Dean, of Lowell. Two danghters, Mrs. Garnet Rearick and Mrs. Thale Feltis, are deceased. The-celebrants have 25 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Mr.Kistler's mother, Mrs. Emma Allen, of Dallas, Tex., is 102 years old. She will be unable to attend the fete.

WINAMAC-Mrs. Emma Rose Allen, 104, Pulaski County native, died at 4 p.m. Saturday at her Dallas Texas, home. She had been ill six months. Born in Star City, Jan. 19, 1869, she was the daughter of Horatio and Nancy Thomas Dye. Her first marriage was to Shedrick Kistler, who died in 1923. She then was married to George Allen. She was a member of Dallas Christian Science Church and the Dallas Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Florence Capshaw, Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Goldie Busby, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Cleo Dyke, Corpus Christie, Texas; one son, Floyd Kistler, Winamac; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Edwards, Star City; and several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren. Eleven brothers and sisters preceded her in death, as did two sons. Arrangements are pending at Fry and Lange Funeral Home.

Floyd married Lisa Marie Stewart, daughter of Unknown and Unknown, on 23 Oct 1911 in Winamac, Pulaski County, Indiana. (Lisa Marie Stewart was born on 27 Oct 1894 in Winamac, Pulaski County, Indiana, died on 26 Jan 1973 in Missouri and was buried in McKinley Memorial Gardens Winamac, Pulaski County, Indiana, USA.)
