He died Mar. 5, 1740-1. He was married Jan. 11, 1687-8 to Joanna Hemenway (b. Sept. 21 1670 d. Dec 23 1748). They had 13 children. Thomas is the Mayo ancestor. Thomas was born Apr 15 1708 at Woodstock, CT and died before Feb. 1794 at Brookfield, MA. He married Dorothy Kellogg about 1729. His second wife was her sister, Elinor. His third wife was Ruth Mason who survived him and administered his estate. He had 14 or 15 children all born at Brookfield, MA but of which wife it isn't known. His son, Ephraim, is the Mayo ancestor. Ephraim was born in 1737 at Brookfield, MA and died at Woodbury, VT in 1811. He married Eunice Burt about 1757. They lived in Sturbridge, MA between Aug. 4 1766 and 1770 because of records found there. Then they lived in Windsor, VT and they moved to the Woodbury, VT area about 1800 and was one of the earliest settlers. He was then an elder of the Free Will Baptist denomination so is called "Elder Ephraim." They had 6 children. Thomas is the Mayo ancestor. Thomas was born April 16 1767 at Sturbridge, MA and died Mar 20 1858 at Woodbury, V. He was one of the earliest settlers there. He married Hannah Burnham while living in Windsor, VT (they were married in NH). Her father was Frederick Burnham. They had 19 or 20 children. Marella is the Mayo ancestor. She married Daniel Goodell
