Mary was the grand daughter of George and Susanna Martin. Susanna was tried and convicted of being a witch during the infamous Salem Witch trials of 1692. She was executed. A descendent of hers (John Whittier, a Quaker poet) wrote 'THE WITCH'S DAUGHTER' about Susanna's daughter.
Mary married John Peaslee in May 1705 in Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts. (John Peaslee was born in 1679 and died in 1705.)
