research of <remnat@rcn.com> on www.rootsweb.com On 1 July 1893 a Lowell marriage is recorded between Mary Etta Dudley and one Robert Long, Mule skinner, born England, age 20. In the 1900 FC, Mary and John Johlmore reported being married 7 years, which matches the 1893 YOM. There is no 1893 marriage for Johlmore and raises the suspicion that the Robert Long name was an error. Also, the 1897 birth for daughter Violet has her parents as John and Mary Johlmore. Note: This scenario is further confused by a marriage between Mary Etta and John Johlmore on 5 Nov 1904, shortly before Mary Etta's death in Lowell on 15 Dec. Perhaps this was a reaffirmation of their vows. Note: There is no further record of a Robert Long in the Lowell area. There was a Robert Long who matched the 1893 marriage profile, living in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine in 1900.
Mary married John Isaac Johlmore, son of John V. Johlmore and Phoebe Ann Hiscock, on 1 Jul 1893. (John Isaac Johlmore was born on 6 Feb 1856 in Mill Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada, died on 6 Feb 1907 in Lowell, Middlesex County, Massachusetts and was buried in Edson Cemetery in Lowell, Massachusetts.)
