Another name for Joel was Joel Andrus. General Notes: per R.G. Nichol on Rootsweb- Joel Andrews served in American Revolution 1775-1780 in regiments from MA and NY; feet had been frozen. Served in Battle of White Plains 1776 and Battle of Monmouth 1780.... Later he was a joiner by trade but had to use crutches due to freezing of both feet and a dislocated hip. [application 30 June 1820] Family consists of Joel's wife age 60; daughter age 30 and dau's son age 8 Joel married Anna White Moore, daughter of Capt Daniel Moore and Margaret White, on 1 Jun 1786 in Pembroke, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. (Anna White Moore was born on 6 Oct 1760 in Pembroke, Merrimack County, New Hampshire and died on 4 Mar 1841 in York County, Pennsylvania.) |
