bullet  General Notes:

From the Plainfield Sun [Plainfield, Waushara Co., WI], Friday February 28, 1902, Page 5 Column 3
A sad ending of a young life was that of Millard CURRIER, which occurred last Sunday morning. The young man left home to come to Plainfield last Saturday about eleven o’clock, and during the remainder of the day and evening was about the village with young acquaintances. He reached home between four and five o’clock Sunday morning, went to his room on the second floor and when his father went to call him between seven and eight, the young man had passed away, having shot himself through the heart with a 32 caliber revolver. When he left home he had about $70 in his possession and he had but a few dollars when found, his people think that brooding over the loss of his money caused him to do the rash act. He was the son of Geo. CURRIER, well known and respected citizen of Oasis, and was born May 29, 1882, on the farm where he died and has always lived. He was an industrious young man, social and kindly in disposition, and leaves a large circle of friends to mourn his early and tragic departure from among them.
The funeral was held Monday at the home, the sermon being preached by Rev. Harvey of the M. E. Church, the interment being in the Ray cemetery.
