GENOA, Ill. -- David L. "Untle" Straw, 44, of Genoa died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, at his home.
He was born Nov. 23, 1959, a son of Albert and Ella Mae (Wilson) Straw.
David was a very giving, easy going and fun-loving person. He was always thinking of others before himself. He was very talented in the art of interior design. He was always the picture of perfection with his appearance.
He also was an extremely caring person and an all-around animal lover. We celebrate him joining Sassy, Sable and Mink.
He is survived by his parents, Albert and Ella Mae Straw of New Hampshire; one sister, Gwen (Mike) Satterfield of Genoa; three brothers, Tim (Lisa) Straw of Virginia, Robert (Edita) Straw and Richard Straw, both of New Hampshire; several nieces and nephews, including his special nephew, Michael Satterfield of Genoa; his very best friend, Sandy Koester of Rockford, Ill.; and many dear friends.
His visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Slater-Butala Funeral Home of Genoa. Cremation will follow.
A memorial has been established for David Straw in care of Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main, PO Box 8, Genoa, Ill. 60135.
