"CATHERINE (CALLOW) KENNISH'S ANCESTRY
Catherine Callow was born at the Cardle Veg in 1846 and died in 1897. She was the daughter of Catherine Kerruish and William Callow, Cardle Veg.
the father of that William Callow was also a William Callow, Cardle Veg, and the father of that Catherine Kerruish was William Kerruish, Ballavelt. His wife was Ann Kerruish, Baldrine.
William Callow, the father of Catherine Callow Kennish, died in 1833. His wife Catherine, died in 1850. His son William Callow married Ellen Christian, Ballaterson. Their children beside William Callow were three daughters, Catherine Callow Kennish, above, and Margaret and Anne, and three other sons, James, John and Thomas Callow.
A grandson of that William and Ellen Callow, was William E. Callow. He died at Ramsey, Isle of Man in 1942, leaving his wife, the former Adelaid Collard and no descendants. The Cardle Veg farm was passed to other hands. A World War II owner of it, as "Adrain Wall', wrote three books about it and Cardle Voar, which he bought and where he died. Catherine married William Kennish, son of William Kennish and Margaret Kissack, on 24 Aug 1848 in Isle of Man, England. (William Kennish was born on 16 Jul 1826 in Isle of Man, died on 30 Oct 1897 in Liberty Twp, Holt County, Missouri and was buried in New Liberty Cemetery Craig, Holt County, Missouri, USA.)
