Minnie Wilhelmina Fries Boone
Mrs. Byron Boone died at her home, near Fairfax, Saturday, April 16, about 2 p.m. She had been in failing health several months.
Minnie Wilhelmina was born May 11, 1900 on a farm near Fairfax, the daughter of Henry and Anna Belle Lang Fries, and died at her home April 16, at the age of 82 years, 11 months, and 5 days.
She was married to Byron Boone June 1, 1918, and they made their home near Fairfax. They were parents of two daughters, Juanita and Patricia.
Mrs. Boone was a member of the Pleasant View Church, near Mound City, and was a faithful loving wife and mother and loved children.
Survivors include the husband, of the home; one daughter, Patricia Hurley, Kansas City; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; four sisters, and four brothers, Rosa Fries, Fairfax, Pauline King, St. Joseph, Hazel Kriley, Grace Goeson, both of Kansas City, Ernie Fries, Fairfax, Russell Fries, Denver, Colo., Bob Fries, Bolckow, and Albert Fries, Mound City.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church in Fairfax, conducted by Rev. William O. Yates. Interment was in the New Liberty Cemetery, near Mound City.
Thalia Beck accompanied Margaret Graves, who sang "Amazing Grace." Pallbearers were Harold Browning, Junior Hawkins, Hale Craven, Lee Thomson, Gene Southard and Mike Barltes.
