"Orcutt history dates back to William Orcutt who came to America in 1664. His family came from the region of Fillongley, north of Coventry in Warwickshire, England. William was born in Mancetter, Warwickshire, England about 1639 and died in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA about 1693. He married Mary Martha Lane about January 24, 1663, and neither of their graves have been found, considering years ago the decay of old stones and that many were buried on their own properties. William and Mary (Lane) Orcutt lived near Marshfield, Plymouth Co., MA for several years before moving to Bridgewater, MA between 1683-85."
