Ross S. is my actual relative. According to some letters from my father
Maurice F. Kerr, Ross S. Kerr lived in Oakland CA during the 1920s, exact dates as yet established. According to M. F. Kerr, Ross lived in a big house with many rooms and servants. He had a son about the same age as Maurice Kerr.
In the probated will of John R. Kerr, Ross's father, it gave the address for Ross as Oakland,CA.
"..He and my father were in business in Columbus,OH. His son,my age was the closest to a brother I ever had. He (the son) is long retired and lives in the coast range also. His business was in electronics in Oakland like the write."

In John Kerr Family by Margaret Powell Hetrick, she says that Ross went to Seattle,WA, although I have run across no information to this effect.*(see census records 1910) My father mentioned Ross as living in Oakland, but never mentioned him in the Seattle environs.
Death Certificate for Ross Kerr, Alameda Co. CA District 101 Registrar's number 3106, gives his birthplace as OH, his birthdate as 15 Feb 1873, death date 8 Sep 1947. It states that he was a contractor. This is in line with the Columbus,OH City Directory listings, as he pursued the same field in California.
