"I visited your web site and thought you'd like to know that the individual you show as 'Melkiak' Heath is in reality 'Melchoir' or 'Melchia'. It is probably a corruption of her grandmother's first name, 'Milcah'. My husband is a descendant of Melchoir Heath who married Cummings Culver. Melchoir Heath's parents were Nancy Tomlinson (d.10 Aug 1861, Van Wert Co., Ohio)and John Heath (d. 24 Feb 1866, Ohio). Parents of Nancy Tomlinson were Milcah Richardson (b.ca.1748 in Maryland, d. 1 Aug 1823, Pleasant Twp., Franklin Co., Ohio) and Jesse Tomlinson (b.1744-d.1836). (MY NOTE: Oak Hill cemetery records give the spelling of her first name as MELKIAK)
Melkiak married Cummings Culver, son of Ebenezer Culver and Priscilla Porter, 27 AUG 1840 in Mercer County, Ohio. (Cummings Culver was born on 3 Apr 1818 in Goshen, Champaign County, Ohio, died on 26 Aug 1901 in Wyandot County, Ohio and was buried in Oak Hill.)
