Lewis Fister Culver married Ellie Dunn February 16, 1875. It's in Vol. 1, p. 231 of the Sheboygan County Index to Marriages. They had a stillborn child May 23, 1876 in Sheboygan Falls. I know Ettie died, but right now I can't find the date (I'll let you know). He didn't marry again as far as I know until he married Mrs. Mary E Harfield June 14, 1911 in Orofino, Clearwater County, Idaho. There was a small reference to her in Newton's Grandpa Stories when he was working in Idaho in the gold mines with Lewis. The woman who helped me find his death record in California said there was a spouse initial found in her initial search but in his obituary she isn't mentioned.

"CULVER - Lewis F Culver at 537 Braodway, Venice. Brother of Mrs Eka J White of Long Beach and uncle of Elwin and Harry Culver of Culver City and Mrs Maida Buxton of Santa Monica. Funeral services Monday, October 6 at 10 a.m. at the Ocean Park parlors of Kirkelie, Bernard and Peek. Interment Inglewood cemetery."

Lewis next married Mary E. Harfield 14 JUN 1911 in Orofino, Clearwater County, Idaho. (Mary E. Harfield was born in 1868 in Canada and died after 1920.)
