MENO '97 The funeral for Bernice M. Koehn, 74-year-old Meno resident, will be 11 a.m. today, Dec. 10, 2010, at New Hopedale Mennonite Church, Meno. Pastor James Suderman will officiate. Burial will follow in New Hopedale Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. There will be viewing from 10 a.m. until service at the church.
Bernice was born June 7, 1936, near Alva, Okla., to Pete and Eliza (Wiebe) Straw and died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
On Sept. 12, 1959, she married Milford Koehn at Grace Mennonite Church, Enid. The couple made their home in Enid for 10 years before they returned to the farm where Milford was born.
She is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Straw of Enid and Dale Straw and wife Opal of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Nellie Klein and husband Stan of Wichita, Kan., and Betty French and husband Doug of Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Milford, two brothers, Verly and Gilmer Straw, and three sisters, Leona Posey, Ruth Peck and Pearl Maze.

Daughter of the late Pete and Eliza Wiche Straw, she was the widow of Milford Koehn (married on September 12, 1959, at Grace Mennonite Church in Enid, OK). She was survived by two brothers, Kenneth Straw and Dale Straw (Opal); two sisters, Nellie Klein (Stan) and Betty French (Doug); and an extended family of relatives. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Verly Straw and Gilmer Straw; and three sisters, Leona Posey, Ruth Peck and Pearl Maze. Her funeral was held at the New Hopedale Mennonite Church in Meno, OK, on December 10, 2010, with Pastor James Suderman officiating.
