Research of S. Stroud on EACHUS genforum message board - Mary Dooley
was born about 1785 in Maryland. She died in 1856 and was buried in Wayland, Iowa in the graveyard of the Methodist Church. This was reported by Margaret Miller who saw the tombstone. Samuel was reported as recently widowed in the 1856 Henry County, Iowa census. Mary died very soon after moving to Iowa from Illinois. Mary Dooley Eachus' daughter Julia F. Kane, is buried beside her. Julia had married Robert C. Kane who was born in Pennsylvania. Julia's daughter, Emma Kane, came to California and married Peter Burdewick. They had two children.
