Peter W., second son of Philip and Louisa Scheerer Beyer, was born in New Bremen and married Lydia Virkler, October 16, 1886.
He learned the mason's trade from his father, devoting most of his time before his marriage to this occupation.
After he married he became a prosperous farmer residing on the "Beyer" homestead for more than score of years.
In 1909, he retired to the C. S. Squire home, which he remodel- ed, and where he and his wife now reside.
