Jan. 21, 1934 Springfield Republican newspaper MRS ELIZABETH PARKER DIES AT WILLIAMSBURG Former Resident of Plainfield Passes Away at Daughter's Home Northampton, Jan 20 - Mrs Elizabeth Smith Parker, 88, formerly of Plainfield, widow of Leston Parker of Plainfield, died late last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hattie Lincoln of North street, Williamsburg, after a short illness. She was born in Dalton December 26, 1845, daughter of Asa and Sarah (Straw) Smith. Mrs Parker was a member of the Plainfield Congregational church and a charter member of the Grange. She leaves, besides her daughter, a son, Eugene F Parker of Cummington; a brother, Frank B Smith of Hancock; three grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. The body was moved to the Newell funeral home, 74 King street, this city, and the funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1.30 at the home of her daughter. Rev John P Manwell, pastor of the Williamsburg Congregational church, officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop cemetery, Plainfield.
