services for Carolyn Straw 65, of Enid will be held Monday, December 3, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Rev Kevin Choate will officiate. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Carolyn was born in Enid to Troy and Lucille (Roden) Sims and died November 29, 2012. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Lucille, her sister Susan Chavez, and her husband Gilmer L. Straw.
Carolyn was a strong Christian woman who devoted her life to God and her children. She loved to dance, sing and paint ceramics. Carolyn fought six years of rheumatoid arthritis, but lost the battle to pneumonia.
Surviving Carolyn are her children: Jerry Williams, Shawna Scholten,and Justin Straw; step-children: Junior Straw and Kristine Straw; her sister, Mary Keene, son-in-law, Mike Scholten; grandchildren Steven Scholten, Sierra Scholten, Stephanie Scholten, Chandler Straw and Kendlle Henry. Great grandchildren: Ethen Campbell, Donovan Edelman and Gabriel Barnard.
Memorials may be made to OMRF Rheumatoid Arthritis Division. Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home will be the custodian of the funds. Condolences may be made on line at ladusauevans@suddenlinkmail.com

Carolyn married someone Gilmer Lee Straw, son of Gilmer Ray Straw and Ann K. Crowe, on 12 Nov 1972 in Oklahoma. (Gilmer Lee Straw was born on 31 Jul 1947 in Enid, Garfield County, Oklahoma, died on 20 Dec 2010 in Enid, Garfield County, Oklahoma and was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, Oklahoma.)
