McEwen, Malcolm, of Scottish descent, moved into Weathersfield at an early day,
and married Lvdia Plant. They had five children, viz.: Betsey, who married Reuben
Strow ; James (deceased), married, but left no descendants ; Archibald, became a physi-
i;ian, and practiced a number of years in Cavendish, and left no issue; Nancy, married
Isaac P. Strow ; and Francis, who died West, leaving no descendants.

anyone have more information on Archibald McEwen Kendall: b. 19 March 1832 in Cavendish, Windsor County, Vermont? d.? m. 12 Sept. 1858 Clarissa Sumner Sprague in Burlington, Chittenden, VT. Had at least two boys by her:
Henry Holton Kendall b. 24 Dec. 1860 and George Mason Kendall b. 11 May 1870.

It is my theory that Archibald had an earlier wife, Clarissa Chilson, who died giving birth to my 2nd Great-grandfather, Frederick Spaulding Kendall (1855-1919) of Dane County, Wisconsin.

I believe Archie is the grandson of Thomas Kendall and Betsey Reed; and Malcolm McEwen and Lydia _?_. I do not have Archie's parents for sure, but I think his father was Daniel (b.22July1795), Horace (b.20Oct.1798), or Samuel Kendall (b.30March1800).
