Straw, Glenn D., 70, of Land O'Lakes, died Tuesday (May 29, 2007). Born in Goshen, Ind., he came to this area in 1992. He was an Air Force veteran (1954-1974) and had worked for Rockwell International. He was Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Noelle; a daughter, Diane Fissgus; three sisters, Emma Mae Gross, Lois Collins and Lucille Kurtz; and a grandchild. Hodges Family Funeral Home, Zephyrhills.

STRAW, Glenn D., 70, of Land O' Lakes, Fla., passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2007. He was born to Harold C. and Goldie L. (Fissgus) Straw in Goshen, Ind. He married Noelle Wilson September 9, 1991. Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Diane (Burkholder) Fissgus, Goshen, Ind..; three sisters, Erma Mae (Burkholder) Gross, Nappanee, Ind., Lois Irene Collins, Goshen, Ind., and Lucille (Tom) Kurtz of Elkhart, Ind.; 10 nieces, five nephews, and one grandchild. Glenn was a proud Air Force veteran and served our country from 1954 through November 7, 1974. He worked at Rockwell International in California, and moved to Tampa, Fla., in 1992. He was a member of Exciting Idlewild Baptist Church in Tampa, where he worked, retiring in December 2006. Glenn absolutely loved God, his wife and family. Family and friends are welcome to a celebration of his life and visitation 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 36327 Highway 54, Zephyrhills. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at the funeral home, with full military honors to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. The family requests that if you cannot attend physically, to please celebrate his life in thanksgiving and prayers. Memorials may be directed to the family in care of Hodges Family Funeral Home.
