Death came to Mrs. Sarah F. Strow this morning at 10 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Smith, 56 Dodge street. The end came peacefully and quite suddenly, although it was not entirely unexpected as Mrs. Strow has been confined to her bed for the last week with heart trouble. She had been in feeble health for the past five months.
Deceased was born in Palermo, Oswego, N.Y., and was seventy eight years of age. She had resided in Wisconsin for forty years and for the past seventeen years had made her home with her daughter in this city. She was a bright, loveable old lady and retained her faculties and active interest in life until within the past few days.
Deceased leaves one daughter, Mrs. Edward Smith and one son, George C. Strow, of Portland, Ore. Her son-in-law, Edward Smith, who was devoted to her, is in the northern part of the state and has been telegraphed for...

Sarah married Edwin A. Straw, son of William Mudget Straw and Abigail Banister, on 11 Jul 1858 in La Salle county, Illinois. (Edwin A. Straw was born in 1833 in New York, died in 1894 and was buried in Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan, Wisconsin.)
