"Clarence B. Knight died in Aurora Sunday morning from tuberculosis. His age was 22 yrs. He joined CoD when the call for volunteers came and enlisted in the recent Spanish War. He returned broken in health and took to his bed last November."

The funeral of Clarence B. Knight who served in the Third Regiment in the Porto Rican campaign, was held from the First Congregational church in Aurora Tuesday [28 Feb 1900] afternoon. He was buried with military honors, Companies D and L Spanish =American war Veterans, Ladies Aid and sons of Veterans attending.
