JOSEPHINE 'JO' YOUNG -- October 21, 1920 - August 15, 2002
ELKLAND, MO -- Josephine Young passed away Friday, Aug. 16, at the Springfield Health Center. Josephine was born Oct. 21, 1920, to Vincent and Josepha (Kukowski) Modrzejewski.
Jo is survived by her husband, Lloyd of Elkland; seven children, Roger (Charlene) Young, Sandra Lumley of Strafford, Mo., Robert of San Diego, Calif., Kenneth of Elkland, Larry of Bryan, Texas, Anthony of Bonita, Calif., and Lloyd of Rolla, Mo; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters and brothers, Dorothy Ahearn, Marcella Langowski, Sylvia Konkel, Gertrude (Joseph) Gabrych, Edmund Modrzejewski, James (Minnie) Modjeski and Mildred Ferguson of Rochester, Minn.
Preceding her in death were her parents and three brothers, Alfred, Mark and Vince.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Holly Trinity Catholic Church on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Marshfield. Burial was in the Marshfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Kevin, Travis and Matthew, a son, Lloyd Young, and Jeffrey Bigley and Richard Gourley.
