book on the Drydens..... and it says of Littleton Dorsey Dryden.......Son of Sovern and Nancy Redden Dryden was born on 26 June 1816 in Mason Co. KY .. he married in Aberdeen Oh in 15 April 1845 to Sarah Malone who was born in MD abt 1826. Littleton farmed in the Mayslick Precinct of Mason County for many years )1850 house 138; 1860 house 134; 1870 house 8f4). His house is said to hove been burned out during the Civil War. In Sept 1876, he moved to Hold Co MO where he continued farming, (1880 Benton tp, house 175, Sarah Malone Dryden died in Hold co in 1881, Littleton Dryden died on Jan 24 1889, in Hold Co near Mound City Children; 1. 1318: Porter Dryden, son of John Littleton and Emma J. Porter Dryden (727) was born in Mound City Hold Co., MO, Feb5 1879, he married about 1901 Mary ....... Born 1869 (wife said to be Julia E. .... Who died in 1965). Littleton was listed in the 1910 census of Columbus, Franklin Co., OH . He moved to Colorado Springs, CLittleton O. in 1924, where he died on Nov 25 1959. He graduated from the George Washington University Washington DC in 1901. He was a vet of the Spanish American War a private in Co B 4th INF and a past department commander of the Spanish American War Veterans, past commander of Admiral Dewey Camp . US War Veterans .. He was chairman of the OPA Board in Colorado Springs during WW11. He retired a lawyer. He was a genealogist of the Dryden family and contributed much information on his him family. At death he left seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He died in 1959 and is buried in the Evergreen Cem. Colorado Springs, El Paso Co. children 1.
