Harold D. Hamm
Harold Dean Hamm of 2363 Sparrow Loop Road, Kelso, Washington, died November 4, 1985 at the local hospice at the age of 72.
He was born January 4, 1913, at Clarinda, Iowa to Harley D and Ethel Jane Davison Hamm, and came to this area from Oregon 25 years ago. In recent years, he wintered in Indio, California where he is survived by many friends
Mr. Hamm was retired from Prudential Insurance after 35 years in sales and management.
He was a past member of the Cowlitz Underwriters Association and had been active in the boy scouts for many years. He was also an avid sportsman and fisherman.
Surviving him are his wife, Helen Z Hamm, at home, three sons, Jarold D. Hamm of Kelso, Clarke R Hamm of Arlington, Washington, and Roger A Hamm of Longview; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services are 1 pm Wednesday at the Kelso First United Methodist Church in Kelso. The Rev Norman Williiams will officiate.

Harold married Mary Ruth Albright on 24 Oct 1934 in Troy, Doniphan County, Kansas. (Mary Ruth Albright was born on 20 Aug 1919 in Hopkins, Nodaway County, Missouri and died on 8 Aug 1978 in Atchinson County, Missouri.). The cause of her death was cancer [breast and bone].

Harold next married Helen Zelpha Shepherd on 19 Mar 1943 in Pittsburg, Contra Costa, California. (Helen Zelpha Shepherd was born on 24 Mar 1916 in Villisca, Montgomery County, Iowa and died on 11 Jul 2004 in Kelso, Cowlitz County, Washington.)
