Helen Zilpha (Shepherd) Hamm, 88, of Kelso, died July 11, 2004.
She was born March 24, 1916, in Vallisca, Iowa, and graduated from high school there. She moved to the local area in 1957 from Salem.
On March 19, 1943, she married Harold D. Hamm in Pittsburg, Calif., and became a homemaker. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Mrs. Hamm is survived by three sons, Jarold Hamm, Clarke Hamm and Roger Hamm; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Kelso First United Methodist Church.
