Policeman Cassius R. Stevens, who has been on trial in the Sessions Court, Brooklyn, for manslaughter for having clubbed John Mulligan to death, was acquitted yesterday after the jury had deliberated for two hours.

On 10 July of 1922 Cassius R. Stevens made a Will [stated he has "no widow or heirs at law"] and left everything to Mrs Netta [Manetta] G. Norton [Mrs C. W. Norton] of New Britain, CT as follows: " All my property personal and real, all teh cash accumulated from my pesions from the Police Pension fund of the City of NY and from US government as a verteran volunteer of the state of Maine during the Civil War. I ahve no real property but what money can be saved for her after and waht has already accumulated i wish to be paid over to Mrs. Netta G. Norton for her good care of me and great kindness to me in years passed."
