GUILDERLAND -- Ronald J. Arras, 63, of Guilderland, died Monday at Ellis Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Albert and Gertrude Arras. Mr. Arras was a bus driver for CDTA in Albany for 28 years. He had retired in 1998. He was a member of the Rotterdam Elks and a communicant of St. Madeline Sophie Church. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia Simon Arras; beloved father of Mrs. David (Karen) Coyne of Colonie, James Arras of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Michael Arras and his wife, Kimberly of Rotterdam, Mark Arras of West Sand Lake; brother of Joyce Cosgrave of Locke, NY and Robert Arras of Colonie; grandfather of Ashley Coyne, Michael and Matthew Arras. Funeral Thursday morning at 9:15 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) thence to St. Madeline Sophie Church, Carmen Rd. at 10 o'clock where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment in Memory's Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1450 Western Ave., Albany, NY 12203 in memory of Mr. Arras.
