2. STUART L. VANDE VORT declared that he is Assistant Secretary and Underwriter of Wm. H. McGee & C0., Inc., a New York corporation with offices at 111 John Street, in the City, County and State of New York; that his firm are the General Agents, Marine Department, of the defendant, Security Insurance Company (35), and as such Agents had under its direction and supervision the Theurer Agency, Inc., which was authorized to and acted as Metropolitan Agent for the defendant for more than 15 years last past (36).
He, personally, was at all times in charge, in a supervisory capacity, of the underwriting activities of the Theurer Agency, Inc., and that all insurance written by that latter firm is subject to his supervision and direction (38).
From an examination of a photostatic copy of the original policy, he avers that the signature thereon contained is that of Alwyn C. Scheer and that such policy contract was issued at the date indicated and was prepared, issued and delivered at the Agency offices at 116 John Street, New York, as were all subsequent riders thereto (36, 38), and that a copy thereof was forwarded to him by the Agency (39).

Stuart married Mildred Drake, daughter of Chris Drake and Helena Murphy, on 20 Apr 1929 in Lucas County, Ohio. (Mildred Drake was born on 1 Jun 1898 in Pennsylvania and died on 12 Mar 1988 in Canton, Bradford, Pennsylvania.)
