WARREN - Theresa A. Straw, 82, passed away peacefully Friday, May 2, 2014, at Hospice House in Poland.
Theresa was born Dec. 30, 1931, in Warren, a daughter of the late William John and Rhoda M. Spencer Butler.
Theresa was a self-employed cosmologist. She enjoyed sewing, teaching crafts to her children and collecting carousel horses.
Her husband, Samuel L. Straw, passed away on Sept. 10, 1988.
Theresa's memories will be cherished by her children, Samuel L. Straw of Warren, James (Vicky) Straw of Warren, Beverly (William) Cooper of Warren, Cheryl (William) Davies of Leavittsburg and Donna Craft of Leavittsburg; two sisters, Ruth Montelese of Champion and Vicky Default of Newton Falls; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Theresa was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Sue Straw; and six sisters, Elizabeth Zackeroff, Helen Hofmiester, Florence Collins, Eleanor Overholt, Mary Snyder and Sue Oberlin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Va., 22312, in Theresa's name.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road N.E., Warren, where a funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in Champion Township Cemetery.

Theresa married Samuel L. Straw Jr., son of Samuel Straw Sr. and Myrtle. (Samuel L. Straw Jr. was born on 17 Nov 1926 in Pennsylvania, died on 10 Sep 1988 in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio and was buried in Champion Center Cemetery Champion, Trumbull County, Ohio, USA.)
