Sina Mae Peyton Straw, 83, of Springville passed away December 29, 1999 of congestive heart failure.
She was born February 4, 1916 in El Dorado, Kansas to Weaver and Sina May Moomey Peyton. She married William James "Bill" Straw on March 15, 1934 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Sina was a member of the LDS church and held many church positions. She loved her 10 years of working at BYU in financial services.
Sina was preceded in death by her husband, a son Scott, and one granddaughter Rachael. She is survived by her children: Beverly Cloud, Billy (Cheryl) Straw, Jeff (Linda) Straw, Paul (Jennae) Straw, Molly (Ron) Andersen, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2000 at 2 p.m. in the Springville Stake Center, 245 South 600 East, Springville. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary.
